I'm listening to the corporate annual update, which is neither corrupt nor stupid, though only about 20% of it applies to my job. So I'll just spend the other 80% lining up these articles about corruption and stupidity for lunchtime reading:

Finally, the La Niña currently dumping more snow on Chicago just hours after half of it finally melted will not likely see out the winter. A westerly wind burst has started over Indonesia and New Guinea, which is expected to lead to a strong El Niño developing by March or April. So after what has already become the snowiest winter in two decades will likely segue into a record-breaking summer. This is yet another reminder that global warming leads to more energy in the atmosphere, not to year-round hot weather.
